Faculty and Staff

Brenda McClure graduated from SJSU and received her B.A. in History with a minor in Political Science. She has been home schooling her three older children for several years and has a love for teaching. She is married to Pastor Mike McClure, Sr. Pastor at Calvary Chapel San Jose. They have been married for 15 years and have six children.

Laura Munguia graduated from Santa Clara University and received a B.S. in Biology with a minor in Spanish. She has a passion for serving and for kids and serves in various capacities through the Children’s Ministry of Calvary Chapel, San Jose. She and her husband Jose have two children.

Susan Weigand has been teaching for over seven years at Pioneer Family Academy. She attended Carnegie Mellon University and the New School of Music. She has a passion for teaching and for music. She and her husband David have three sons.

Mary Ishiki received her B.A. from the University of Hawaii in Liberal Studies. She has home schooled her two daughters for most of their schooling. Mary has served the Lord diligently as a pastor's wife for over 21 years. During this time Mary has developed and used her gift of teaching within the Women's and Children's Ministries. Mary has a amazing gift with discipling women and children on how to follow God with all their heart! She has been married to Deano Ishiki for 22 years.

Elisabeth has deep passion for teaching and has been doing so for approximately six years. She graduated and received her teaching credential from Bethany Bible College, where she currently teaches Composition and Grammar courses. She finds deep fulfillment in being able to freely teach the truth of God's word within curriculum. She and her husband Shane have a 1 year old son.

Vinnie serves as the Calvary Chapel San Jose Jr High Youth Pastor. He loves the Lord and has a heart for reaching youth. He and his wife Suzy have been married since 1996 and they have two children.

Daniel Sanchez has been on staff at Calvary San Jose since 2003 and the Youth Pastor since 2006. He has a passion for bringing God's word to the next generation and the unsaved. He loves sharing for different school chapels and Christian clubs. Danny has a heart for ministering to the community by speaking in public elementary, middle and high schools, working with the Community Pregnancy Center and serving as a member of the board for the Mayor's Gang Prevention Task Force. He and his wife Abby have four children.
